high diving dreams

Because we have purchased Cherry Hill passes for the past several summers, my kids are having diving board envy, high diving board envy to be exact. CH has a lot of fun things, but diving boards are not one of them. So when they found out that the Primary summer party (the whole ward was invited) would be a Farmington Pool they were super excited. The pictures did not turn out fantastic, the party was not until 8pm so the light was not great, but some of these silhouette pictures just crack me up. I have such hot dogger children, especially Spencer. He was doing cannon balls and other jumps until I told him I needed some "hot dog" pictures. He knew exactly what I meant and delivered this beauty, what a funny kid. Spencer is such a great source of entertainment in our home, he is constantly saying the funniest things and always trying to be a friend to everyone. He also thinks that being a big brother to Ethan is the best thing since Nintendo.

As soon as Allie saw what was going on she had to try to out-do him with a toe toucher jump. I don't know about you, but I don't remember ever being that flexible in my whole life and if I tried to attempt something like that now, I would likely injure myself.

I have to say that the number one thing I was worried about with this move was my kids adjustment and would we have a good ward for them to grow up in? They have loved every minute of it! Taylor was ordained a Deacon the second Sunday that we were in the ward and they have welcomed him in so great tha scouts is his favorite part of the week. Allie and Spencer both have loads of kids in their age group, all of which are wonderful and have made their adjustment a piece of cake. Their teachers and leaders are great too and even have Spencer loving primary. I'm so grateful for good friends for them to grow up with, I know better than anyone how much of a difference this makes in a teenager's life. Spencer is especially excited because he found out the other day that his 5th grade class has all but one of his church buddies.
