grandpa's shadow

As I said before in the last post, grandma had a company party last weekend and we all went along for the fun. Ethan had a great time following grandpa around for the entire day. It was fun to watch because it was so easy to see how much he loves grandpa. I kept trying to give my dad a break by taking over and re-directing his attention somewhere else. But every time I turned around, he was following grandpa, or grandpa was following him trying to keep him out of trouble.They both liked the car, in fact it was hard to get Ethan to look at him for a picture because he just wanted to look at the car. They went for walks to see the deer and so it was good that they both wore orange so I could spot them from a long ways off. I'll be honest, Ethan didn't love the swing with grandpa or with me, but later Allie told us we were doing it wrong, she said she swings with him on her lap but she faces him the other way and he loves it. Oh well, next time I guess.Grandpa didn't even mind sharing his sunglasses to try and up the cool factor for little E. What a cool Grandpa and what a fun day for the two of them getting to know each other a little better.

That's a look of a toddler who is thinking "my grandpa ROCKS!" I would have to agree.
