when your kids were small did they have a favorite movie that you liked at first but then after listening to it ten thousand times that the mere sound of the opening credits might melt your skin off? well, right now, ethan loves ratatouille, which is a great show, i used to really enjoy it. it's been in the dvd player in the van for a while now, maybe two months and i've just had it, i can't take it any more. ethan doesn't want to switch to a new movie, he's content to watch the rats cook in the kitchen over and over and over. so yesterday when we were out running around i reached a low that i haven't before. headphones. i actually turned the sound on the headphones and put them on ethan's head just so i wouldn't have to listen to the movie. he loved it, he thought it was so cool to wear them and was happy the rest of the afternoon as much as i wanted to run around. AND i actually got to listen to the radio, AND to make the pot even sweeter, a journey song came on! so it was a success, but something about it makes me feel like a terrible mother!**how do you feel about rats in the kitchen?**

okay so I love dvd players in cars. I never had one untill a month or so ago when I got my new car. I thought my kids wouldn't enjoy it because they were older and thought about not getting one...but I'm soo glad we did!!!! We never have to fight about the radio station any more because the kids even the big kids have headphones on and are watching the dvd player. I wish I had one when they were little and headphones are the only way to go.
I would love the dvd thing in the car. Especially because of the road trips we take to see my family. We have major car sickness issues though:( so, I don't dare. I think headphones would be a definite must though!
I would love a DVD player in car but Kelly doesn't think we need one! Actually I would need 3 DVD players one for Emily, one Kyle and one for Jake. They are all into different TV shows and movies and they can't stand what the other one likes. We would have a war in the car if we a DVD car so on 2nd thought maybe we are okay!
