confession
all of the beautiful, super-ripe, home-grown tomatoes that kristy so generously shared with us, made it into a lovely, tasty salad we enjoyed with our sunday dinner. well, all the tomatoes but ONE that is...
one poor tomato died an early death all over the counter (and ethan's clothes) due to a blunt trama from a toddler sized fist. can you say terrible twos? i thought they were safe up on the counter, in fact, i didn't think the tomatoes needed safe keeping, but now i know i have to protect them from little smashing hands. mental note for next time. i love the look on his face when i took his photo, "if i say 'cheese' am i not in trouble?" thanks for sharing with us kristy, we really did enjoy most of them!

Just let me know when you need more tomatoes for Ethan to smash!! We have been having BLT's at least once a week for dinner.....like last night for instance!!!
I think Ethan was just helping you get started on canning this year...right? They definitely look very ripe...Troy is the only one in our family who loves to eat fresh tomatoes. I just like them when the are made into other food items...Like SALSA...yummmo!
"I didn't think the tomatoes needed safekeeping." HA! That's the story of mothering a toddler right there, isn't it?
Oh this age...too interested...and beyond lovable. I know you didn't love the mess but, the picture...priceless:)
Apparently the desire to smash one was too powerful to resist!
