last friday the blogger moms got together for the first of many summer activities with our kids at karrie's in-laws pool. it was way fun to have the place to ourselves but the weather wasn't exactly cooperative, rain and maybe 50 degrees don't exactly scream, "summer time". but, the kids were so looking forward to it (for us, the first swim of the season) that we all braved the weather and did it anyway. ethan was having fun as long as he had a death grip on allie's neck, needless to say, he didn't last long.
the kids ended up spending most of their time in the hot tub which was great until...it was time to get out. we tortured them long enough to get a photo though, is it just me or is their skin purple?
and spencer looks like a serial killer. i even caught the reluctant teenager who thought she could escape my camera lens by hiding behind a pillar! silly girl!
the moms, who were smart enough NOT to get wet in the freezing rain, had fun chatting and laughing at our die-hard kids. brrrrrr, hopefully next time we go it will feel more like summer.

That was fun & painful at the same time.
So If you're not too crazy with girls camp this next week maybe we could do another day at the pool since it is now summer weather. I loved it anyway you guys are the best!
I am ready to go again in the hot sun!!! My kids had a blast. Maybe Emily can really work on her tan next time!
This really was fun despite the artic temps! The kids had such a blast. I love the photos of Ethan all cozy in his towel:)
