there's something about the first two weeks of summer, it's just such a great time of year for me. i'm always so excited for the break, for the time to do some projects, to soak up some sun after the long snow-shovelling winter, the idea of getting some flowers planted and possibly tomatoes too, and especially time with my kids. the first two weeks this summer have been such a let down, not the way i envisioned them at all and they've left me in a blogging funk. the first weekend of summer ethan came down with a higher fever and we spent all of monday and tuesday tending to a sick toddler and staying in our pjs all day watching movies and napping on the couch. i was too exhausted from being up half the night to think to take any photographs. this is a fine activity for christmas break when it's freezing outside, but i hate being stuck indoors when it's nice outside. just in time for ethan to be feeling better it rained and was cold outside for what seemed like forever, not exactly the kind of weather to get us riled up about summer. and then there's CAMP, oh my gosh, it's only a week and a half away, i still don't know what i'm doing and it's made me kind of crabby and overwhelmed and unsure of myself - i hate that! i'm sure it will be fine but worrying about it just feels necessary right now. so there you have it, my lame excuses for my blogging funk. it's just not the first two weeks of summer i had envisioned, a major bummer but we'll figure it out, it's all good.

Hey at least you'll get camp over with before July....that was good planning...the rest will be just fine...hang in there!
Look at that naked bum! Don't worry, Wend, it will all be but a small moment in that great span of summer (that will hopefully arrive soon!!!) because we still have July and August!!! I am continually amazed at all you are able to do, and still have fun (insert Adrian's quote here...you know which one!) Sure love ya and can't wait to relax at CHill with ya.
sorry summer isn't going well so far - but you will be great at camp and it will be nice to have that over with and then you can par-tay!! Chin up and all that!
I am hoping this better weather has been helping...also, I think camp coming up and getting over with will help too:) I love that "bummer" photo!
