rich and i really couldn't be more different from each other in many ways, one big way is roller coasters. i am an adrenaline junkie, there isn't anything that i wouldn't ride, ok with the exception to non-regulated carny rides - now that's crazy! in fact, a dream vacation for me would be to travel all over the US riding all of the big record breaking coasters, the idea of it makes me a little giddy even though it will probably never happen. until recently it sounded like a lonely vacation, then we went to disneyland and i realized all four kids are thrill-seekers just like me! ethan's favorite part of disneyland hands-down was riding as many rides as possible. he kept asking "pirates ride?" and loved the water fall at the beginning. he loved everything we went on but requested pirates most often.

the older kids were off doing their own teenager thing a lot so i don't have as many photographs of them, but they rode the thrill rides over and over and are officially hooked YAY!

luckily the kids were really great about also riding a lot of kiddie rides for ethan, one of them, his favorite, the merry go round. which, funny enough, is the one ride i CAN'T do, oh man, it makes me so sick!

ethan also got a kick out of standing next to the "you have to be this tall" signs to see how he measured up. he knew it determined whether or not he could ride something and was always disappointed when he wasn't tall enough.

so a family of thrill seeks - well minus dad - but he's a good sport anyway.

Hang on now -- the merry-go-round makes you sick? But not the roller coasters? That's just funny.
We don't have a lot of thrill seekers around here.
My kids are chickens!!!! Kelly and I love the thrill rides and they boob and cry about us forcing them to at least try them. Kyle sometimes will go on a thrill ride.
I love the height picture!! It brings back a bunch of memories!! Madison was tall enough for everything and Taylor was brave enough to go on so many big rides but just didn't quite make it height wise!! Poor thing!! :(
We all love roller coasters at our house too. When Riley was 3 or 4 she kept wanting to go on the Tower of Terrorist (Tower of Terror) in California Adventure...soo funny!
Aw, Rich should've hung out with us! Sydney cried after splash mountain, that toon town kiddie roller coaster, and that ladybug/teacup ride at the bug's life area. She insisted she was brave enough for Space Mountain and I thought she had died of a heart attack by the time it was over. I've never seen her so scared. So I guess we won't be doing any more roller coasters with her for quite a while.
Great photos! I love the last one with Ethan checking his height:)
I used to love it more when I was younger...I guess I really am getting old:(
Oh I love the pictures! how fun- what a great trip.
I used to be a thrill seeker... maybe having six kids was enough to stop me from seeking anymore thrills?
